Community Center - The Richard J. Murphy Community Center
is a non-profit organization. The Murphy has been serving the
Dorchester Community since October 1973. They serve Pre-Schoolers,
children, teens, the elderly. During the academic year they offer
Pre-School/K1, childrens' after school activities, adult classes
and a teen center. Some of the programs currently available are
swim team, swimming lessons for adults and children, children’s
drawing classes, adult computer classes, sewing lessons, line
dancing, water aerobics, adult and children ceramic classes, and
Project J.U.M.P

is being used to fund the Barbara and Thomas Murray Memorial scholarship
and the Tara Fund, which assists people with eating disorders
